Getting the most out of treadmills
If you like to work out on treadmills, you would know exactly how strenuous it is and how much you expect to lose weight from it. In some cases, treadmills make people feel like a lab rat. Running almost aimlessly caged up inside a gym, makes you feel like that rat. And running is what made me think about how rats are kept running for long by scientists on small treadmills. The answer is cheerios as well as electric shocks in case those wee creatures happen to slow down even a little bit. So it is the case with humans also. Most people run on treadmills and treat themselves with a little bit of chocolate for their efforts. Similarly, the fact that you can get bloated and obese is something that gets you into a kind of shock so that you get back on the treadmill.
It’s not to say that there are no real benefits of getting onto a treadmill. For one, you can increase your endorphins or feel good hormones which make you feel cheery and also uplifted, despite situations that may be gloomy elsewhere. You also reduce your chance of heart disease by as much as 42% and you can reduce the chance of a stress fracture by a whopping 48%.
